The Digital Collaborative is a place where students and teachers from around the globe can come together to discuss pressing economic, environmental, and human rights issues while getting exposed to the design process and working collectively to come up with solutions to these pressing issues. It is based on the OpenIDEO Framework that was created by Ideo, the highly acclaimed design firm to give designers and everyday people alike an opportunity to come together to design solutions to challenges posed by various corporate and governmental agencies. Students will spend approximately 8 weeks collaborating with others to come up with solutions to a challenge posed on OpenIDEO. They will work with global collaborative teams to create a plan that will be judged by a panel of experts. Watch the following video to learn a bit more about the OpenIDEO Framework. If you are an educator who is interested in getting involved or having your students get involved, please go to the Get Involved page to learn more.
